If it should be that I grow
frail and weak
and pain should keep me from my sleep
then you must
do what must be done
for this, the last battle can't be won
RIP
Ambir
Ambir, you were the gentle giant of
the Currie Den. You taught my babies patience,
tolerance and most of all
what doggies should be like. You were the first animal that
greeted me
when I came to see my babies for the first time, you had your lead in your
mouth and you never stopped wagging your tail in a “Welcome” that is
grained in
my mind forever. Every time I see a lemon I will think of you
fondly. The picture I
will always hold in my mind is of kittens jumping
and bouncing off you, biting, scrat-
ching and playing with your tail, all
the while you just lay there patiently letting
them do it, with the
occasional sniff from you. I knew if I ever wanted to photograph
Lori, I
just had to look for you, and there would be your constant companion.
RIP
my sweet angel.

I will miss
you old lady. I will remember you with so much fondness and the twinkle in
your
eye that old age could never snatch from you. Although your body grew
frail and the bones
not willing anymore, in soul and heart you will stay
forever young. There is a special place
for animals like you. I think your
spot just took longer to prepare because you were too special
for just any
spot. I am glad that you now can breathe, you can run, skip and jump
again.
You can look over Linn and Robert and all the special litters you
helped to raise over the
years and the ones still coming. I know you will
give a helping hand in choosing just the most
special babies to fill the
litter rooms in their home – how else, you are the most qualified after
all.
Have a good
time old girl, you deserve your special place. R I

Ambir you raised
many litters of kittens, teaching them how to become trainers
and owners
of dogs. You welcomed us potential owners with a big doggy grin and
wuffs when we arrived, all apprehensive to meet your owners and our new
kittens.
You greeted us each time we visited and seemed to take
special delight in showing
us how our kids had grown since we last saw
them, explaining to us the care you
had taken of them whilst we weren’t
there (those cat moms sure needed supervision).
You were always
there to wave your kittens off with that lovely plume of yours
as they
headed off to their new homes.
Ambir my friend, we
will surely miss you. Heaven has gained a yellow doggy
angel.
